This screen shot was taken by myself at a live presentation to demonstrate how variable and incoherent our heart rate variability patterns can be at times (early part of graph). The early peak was attributed to a participant briefly thinking and focusing on a challenging experience (watch what you think !).
The coherence technique was introduced and you can notice that the heart pattern started becoming more rhythmic, sinusoidal and coherent.
